Hello Visitor,

It has been a very busy time since our last newsletter, rod building over the winter months and working on the website to make it a lot better shopping experience for you. We have been receiving nothing but positive feedback so thank you.
When we attended the Australian Fishing Tackle Association trade show in August I spent a fair bit of time going through the Samurai Premium range of blanks. The new blanks I liked were all the 9' releases. I've just sent the specifications to Frogley's for two new surf blanks to be developed for the Samurai range, so if these blanks become available, I'll let you know.

TRW 5120G Overhead Custom Rod Build

This Fish Cross-Wrap on a TRW surf blank was exhibited in the South Australian Living Artists Exhibition to showcase custom rod building thread art. The thread colours used for the wrap were Pro-Wrap Colourfast D 862 Twilight Black, Gudebrod Metallic Electra D 9002 Silver, FishHawk Metallic P D 9050 Electric Blue and Fuji Metallic D 911 True Gold.

New Jurassic Blanks For Blackfish & Estuary/Light Surf

At this year's AFTA trade show my focus was also to find some Blackfish, Estuary and Light Surf blanks that are competitively priced. I wanted the same tapers, actions and line classes as have previously been available. I've sourced Jurassic blanks, the stock has now arrived and they are everything I wanted. So if you're looking for a new blank for Blackfish,Estuary or Light Surf fishing, check out this new range.

Gudebrod Metallic Electra D 100 Yard Spools

During a visit to one of our supplier's warehouse we found stock of original Gudebrod Metallic Electra D thread 100 yard spools. Use this electrifying, holographic thread for colour blocks and trims. It hasn't been available for years and no-one has successfully reproduced the quality of the original USA made product. Obviously stock is limited but currently plenty of Silver, Gold, Royal Blue & Green but only a few spools of Red left. Great buy at this price!
