There will be a Rod Builders Rendezvous again this year, last year was the first time the group met. This year it will be on the Public Day, Saturday 5th August, 12pm, upstairs at the Gold Coast Exhibition Centre. Sponsored by Fuji, it’s a chance for Australian Rod Builders to discuss common issues as well as see the latest product. Coming out of last year’s meeting was a Custom Rods website,https://custombuiltrods.com.au/, which is a resource for those of you looking for a custom rod builder. The website is a start and will only get better over time.
Frogley’s Offshore will have plenty of new product on show including the Fuji K frame new O Ring guides. The O rings are available in KT, KB, KL, and KW as well as MG, LG and F tips to match. If you’re interested, there’s a short promo video about these on The RodWorks website front page.
New thread releases will include the Fuji EZ thread and Speed Metallics and other C Size, NOCP colours.
United Tackle have also been increasing the Sabre G3 Blank Range and will have on show new G3 6’6” models and heavier line classes that haven’t previously been available. I’m looking forward to having a feel of those.
